Biden: Gun Owners ‘Like The Way It Feels…Like Driving a Ferrari’

Vice President Joe Biden this morning said that the “cultural norm” about gun ownership has changed, arguing that many people buy guns, not for protection or hunting, but because “it’s like driving a Ferrari.”

“It used to be we were dealing almost exclusively with hunters,” Biden said on MSNBC. “There’s a whole new sort of group of individuals now who, I don’t know what the numbers are, that never hunt at all but they own guns for one of two reasons...

He’s also a draft-dodging SOB. While I was doing my little part in the SEA war games, this prick was doing everything in his power to get draft deferments. Here’s a brief history of the moron’s time in college, avoiding the draft.

“Biden attended the University of Delaware in Newark, where he was more interested in sports and socializing than in studying,[10] although his classmates were impressed by his cramming abilities.[15] He played halfback with the Blue Hens freshman football team.[14] In 1964, while on spring break in the Bahamas,[18] he met and began dating Neilia Hunter, who was from an affluent background in Skaneateles, New York, and who attended Syracuse University.[10][19] He told her that he aimed to become a Senator by the age of 30 and then President.[20] He dropped a junior year plan to play for the varsity football team as a defensive back, enabling him to spend more time visiting out of state with her.[14][21] He double majored in history and political science and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1965,[22] ranking 506th of 688 in his class.[23]

He then entered Syracuse University College of Law (where he would be near her), receiving a half scholarship based on financial need with some additional assistance based in part upon academics.[24] By his own description he found law school to be “the biggest bore in the world” and pulled many all-nighters to get by.[15][25] During his first year there, he was accused of having plagiarized 5 of 15 pages of a law review article. Biden said it was inadvertent due to his not knowing the proper rules of citation, and he was permitted to retake the course after receiving an ‘F’ grade, which was subsequently dropped from his record.[25] He received his Juris Doctor in 1968,[26] graduating 76th of 85 in his class.[24] He was admitted to the Delaware Bar in 1969.[26]

Biden received five student draft deferments during this period, with the first coming in late 1963 and the last in early 1968, at the peak of the Vietnam War.[27] In April 1968, he was reclassified by the Selective Service System as not available for service due to having had asthma as a teenager”.
