Coburn: Manchin-Toomey deal is 'unworkable'

n. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) panned an agreement to expand background checks on gun sales that Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) unveiled on Wednesday.

"The Manchin-Toomey proposal is a good faith but unworkable plan," Coburn said in a statement. "The proposal will impose new taxes and unreasonable burdens on law-abiding citizens."

The manchin-toomey scheme is a bad faith attempt to subvert the Constitution and arrogate powers to the government which are explicitly denied it by the Second Amendment.

manchin and toomey are domestic enemies of the Constitution.

That is kind of a secondary concern to the fact that a veteran can have his/her firearms confiscated without due process to begin with. Actions like that should result in a civil suit about deprivation of rights under the color of authority with a multi-million dollar settlement for each and every veteran they do that to. Same for civilians.

This Toomey-Manchin compromise goes way beyond whacking the 2nd Amendment. It's a BoR killer. Send me a case of tinfoil because I think this was the plan all along.
