Its not conservatism that is the problem. Its the lack of conservatism in the GOP. People can't vote for what isn't being offerred. When the stark contrast was evident in 1980, we won big; in 1994 we won big; in 2010 we won big. Milquetoast Republicanism has never won big.

As RR once said, bold colors trump pale pastels.

Yes. Why in the world would anyone follow someone who appears to stand for nothing and can’t even speak convincingly of the policies and positions he claims to believe? That is the problem. If you look at the GOP who win as bold conservatives you see a clear ability to articulate conservatism.
