MSNBC host Touré tore into both artists LL Cool J and Brad Paisley over the release of their lighthearted duet Accidental Racist, which tackled persistent racial tensions through song. Touré, an experienced music critic as well as an outspoken expert on race relations, found no redeeming value in their song.

Co-host S.E. Cupp said that she could appreciate the effort made by both artists in the effort to cool racial tensions though verse. I like the effort maybe, Cupp said waveringly.
Okay, Touré interjected. No, Im not giving out any good grades for the effort.
I hate it, he continued. He said Paisley could not tell his audience to ignore the dominant meaning behind the Confederate flag. No, you cant just re-appropriate the symbol as you wish, Touré added. If you wear that out in public, as LL says in his verse, youre going to make me uncomfortable.
Itd be very easy for me to spend the rest of my time beating up on Brad Paisleys show of white guilt, Touré pivoted, but I dont want to do that straw man I want to talk to LL who I am extraordinarily disappointed in.
Touré slammed Cool J over the lyric in his song, If you forget the gold chains, Ill forget the iron chains.
Completely false choice, Touré said. If you dont judge me because Im wearing a chain, Ill forget about slaver? Which continues to have an impact on this country the racial disparity, the income inequality, the incarceration trends. No, Im not going to forget.
My God, LL Cool J talking about forget the slavery mentality? Touré exclaimed. Mama should knock you out!
Hard for you not to forget something that you never experienced, you racist, worthless twerp.
I believe LL Cool J is a Republican.
LOL this guy is such a worthless piece of crap..I can see why MSNBC hired him, he’s perfect
I don’t know what his politics are, but I have always liked Cool James.
I’m not a rap fan or anything, but I suppose he’s one of those rappers that did not just offend the Hell out of me with a bad attitude.
I’ve heard the song, and I like it, even though I’m not a country fan either.
I imagine that people such as this sticking rat Tourre are against the song because it is the type of thing that can break down barriers. Barriers that certain people need to have maintained in order to advance their agenda.
Good for Paisley and James. The ruling class is trying to enslave us all, and it is up to us to stop them.
Accidental Racist”
Paisley:
To the man that waited on me at the Starbucks down on Main, I hope you understand
When I put on that t-shirt, the only thing I meant to say is I’m a Skynyrd fan
The red flag on my chest somehow is like the elephant in the corner of the south
And I just walked him right in the room
Just a proud rebel son with an ‘ol can of worms
Lookin’ like I got a lot to learn but from my point of view
I’m just a white man comin’ to you from the southland
Tryin’ to understand what it’s like not to be
I’m proud of where I’m from but not everything we’ve done
And it ain’t like you and me can re-write history
Our generation didn’t start this nation
We’re still pickin’ up the pieces, walkin’ on eggshells, fightin’ over yesterday
And caught between southern pride and southern blame
They called it Reconstruction, fixed the buildings, dried some tears
We’re still siftin’ through the rubble after a hundred-fifty years
I try to put myself in your shoes and that’s a good place to begin
But it ain’t like I can walk a mile in someone else’s skin
‘Cause I’m a white man livin’ in the southland
Just like you I’m more than what you see
I’m proud of where I’m from but not everything we’ve done
And it ain’t like you and me can re-write history
Our generation didn’t start this nation
And we’re still paying for the mistakes
That a bunch of folks made long before we came
And caught between southern pride and southern blame
Cool J: White Man, I wish you understood
What the world is really like when you’re livin’ in the hood
Just because my pants are saggin’ doesn’t mean I’m up to no good
You should try to get to know me, I really wish you would
Now my chains are gold but I’m still misunderstood
I wasn’t there when Sherman’s March turned the south into firewood
I want you to get paid but be a slave I never could
Feel like a new fangled Django, dodgin’ invisible white hoods
So when I see that white cowboy hat, I’m thinkin’ it’s not all good
I guess we’re both guilty of judgin’ the cover not the book
I’d love to buy you a beer, conversate and clear the air
But I see that red flag and I think you wish I wasn’t here
Paisley and Cool J (Cool J in parentheses):
I’m just a white man
(If you don’t judge my do-rag)
Comin’ to you from the southland
(I won’t judge your red flag)
Tryin’ to understand what it’s like not to be
I’m proud of where I’m from
(If you don’t judge my gold chains)
But not everything we’ve done
(I’ll forget the iron chains)
It ain’t like you and me can re-write history
(Can’t re-write history baby)
Oh, Dixieland
(The relationship between the Mason-Dixon needs some fixin’)
I hope you understand what this is all about
(Quite frankly I’m a black Yankee but I’ve been thinkin’ about this lately)
I’m a son of the new south
(The past is the past, you feel me)
And I just want to make things right
(Let bygones be bygones)
Where all that’s left is southern pride
(RIP Robert E. Lee but I’ve gotta thank Abraham Lincoln for freeing me, know what I mean)
It’s real, it’s real
It’s truth
It seems this tool realizes jesse jerkson and al not-so-sharpton won’t live forever, and positioning himself as the
premier race-baiter for the 21st century. Pathetic! And
a little funny. toooraaay!! otaaay!!
These two jamocks are what is called low information people. someone should tell them that is was the stars and strips that flew over the slave ships not the CSA. I love country music but they do have some dumb rednecks.
Isn’t the words “Lean Forward” (must) like the words “Bend Over”?
MSNBCs Touré founded militant anti-white student paper

Toure’ is a product of Black Liberation Theology. There has been no progress in the plight of the African-American and never will be according to their gospel. Until whitey is banished, there will be no peace.
The song could have had some merit had the LL Cool J part of the song also apologized for the black murder rate that’s 8 times the white rate, for the wild mobs that take over Daytona, Miami, the Zoo on free day, the utterly lawless areas of Philly, Detroit, and Chicago,,etc.
There are two sides to the coin. If someone is willing to own the accept the racism that does exist in some corners of the white community, i also look for others to accept that the black community should accept responsibility for it’s recent descent into sickening levels of feral behavior.
There are areas of many cities where my life would be in severe and immediate danger, if i were i foolish enough to enter. I know of no such counterparts for black Americans.
He is what Booker T Washington was referring to when he said, “There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who don’t want the patient to get well.”
With all due respect, LL Cool J cannot apologize for the actions of others, neither can Brad Paisley.
If people are ever going to come together, then some things are going to need to be laid to rest in the past where they belong.
Leftists go both ways.
They know not what they ask for, when YT is no more.
Okay, who added “Looter Guy” at the rear of that photo? Or did I just now catch it?
