WASHINGTON Several Senate Republicans on Tuesday came out publicly against filibustering the first major gun control legislation since 1993 before it is even brought up for debate on the Senate floor, as advocates inched toward breaking a conservative blockade of the measure.
((snip))
Were moving forward on this bill, said Mr. Reid, who earlier Tuesday invoked his own fathers suicide by gunshot to implore consideration of the legislation, which would expand background checks for gun buyers, bolster school safety and crack down on people who purchase firearms for those who are not entitled to own them. The American people deserve a vote on this legislation.

Sarah Palin is probably deeply embarrassed now that she helped this two-bit turncoat RINO get into the Senate.
Republicans like being the minority party, they get all the perks of being in Washington, without having any real responsibility, it’s like being on welfare.
I just called Ron Johnsons office in DC regarding the gun bill in the Senate. The good news, the call was answered immediately.
My question for Senator Johnsons staffer, will he join the filibuster on the gun bill? I was told that there has been no mention of a filibuster. Hello? I called him on that. I was then told that Sen. Johnson was one of the first to sign some letter against the bill.
I am not satisfied with that response and I hope Senator Johnson steps up. I spent hours of my time making calls for him in Waukesha.
The only "...shall not be infringed..." that they care about is their Congressional benefits.
If the House votes for any of this crap, they can kiss their majority bu-bye.

Having the majority in Republican hands is meaningless. It’s like having a gun and and never firing a shot.
Four Republican senators, Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire, Susan Collins of Maine, Johnny Isakson of Georgia, and Tom Coburn of Oklahoma, said Tuesday that they would support a procedural motion to formally take up the gun legislation for debate and amendments. Other Republicans indicated that they were inclined to allow debate, joining Senators John McCain of Arizona and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina.
Republicans like being the minority party

That is a fact. They like having a good seat at the game, content with being vocal spectators. But they never want to get on the field of play. It’s too rough out there for them.
I’m totally done with the Republican Party.
Here are the traitors to the Constitution of the United States.

Hey, it’s what they do. It’s who they are. It’s how they roll.
And i still have not had anyone explain why a background check for felonies, etc requires ANY mention of a gun. Whether the gun was ever actually purchased after all or not, should have no bearing whatsoever on whether or not an individual gets a pass or fail to complete a sale.
If you pass, buy the gun or don’t. If you fail, you cant. SO why any information on the gun purchased if you pass?
it is not enough to just flood the senate offices with calls.
it is anger time. flood the RNC with calls.
We have been “McCained” AGAIN!
Your inquiry prompted me to write the following:
Chris,
I am absolutely livid that NRA supported monster gun-grabber Senator Harry Reid. Now that the chickens have come home to roost I want to know who is going to resign over having supported Harry Reid over Sharon Angle.
I want someone's head on a plate. You were too smart by half. I want a public admission of error and a resignation. Whose is it going to be?
Sincerely,
The Shrew
The only signal worthwhile is a call for the impeachment of Traitorobama and his traitorous regime.
The GOP has already abandoned the military, why not go all the way left?

Poor judgement in this case, Sarah.
The New York Times, trying to make the news they want happen.
Knowing that Reid voted to confirm Kagan and Sotomayor is proof he is anti-Second Amendment. Now this.
The road to Hell is paved with plenty of Republicans. I don’t trust our two RINO’s on this vote as far as I can throw them. Everybody in GA better be calling and emailing Isakson and Chambliss. I already have.
When the dust settles, I may find myself in a very small minority, but I am about done giving a damn about any of this.
If this report is true and if it comes to pass, I will completely right off ALL of the GOP, as well as what is left of this country. I will drift into obscurity.
I can not support Senators that fail to support the Second Amendment, our Liberty, our Bill of Rights and ALL of our Constitution. I can not support the quiet and gutless wonders of our Congress.
Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again. ~ Ronald Reagan, from his first inaugural speech as governor of California, January 5, 1967
Ronald Reagans warning about losing our freedoms echoes down through a generation of lost momentum and squandered opportunity.
We now have the most ignorant electorate in the history of American elections. I believe we have the most corrupt government and media our country has ever seen.
Ronald Reagan’s warning has become reality..
I believe the NRA finally regrets having done so. Then again, I may be wring in assuming they are smart enough to see the error of their ways.
