You beat me to it. The lady is acting as if any of this is new. If it is in the interest of the State to turn out good, obedient little citizens, then it is the responsibility of free men and women to turn out free men and women who can make up their own minds.

This business of a paternalistic collective from which all blessings flow is, frankly, outdated, presumptuous, and has proven ineffective to produce any society a free man or woman would want to be a part of. The only people benefiting from collectivist politics are the ones who would be master.
