” But where should labeled classified documents be exposed.”
Years ago ( during the Vietnam War era) I worked in Military R&D. Work required a clearance and documents were controlled. That said, a lot of the “classifications” were made to obscure what was being done rather than for the purpose of protecting the country’s secrets. It is too easy to “classify” something to protect nefarious activity. I learned recently that something that I did that was “classifled SECRET was shown to the Congress (and the public) many years ago.

I do fully appreciate your statements. Way back then I worked on lower Classified up to Secret level programs at a rather well known defense contractor's facilities.
So to a very much lesser extent within the bounds of your statements, I can appreciate what they suggest.
The issue continues to be a delicate matter to address.
I basically scrubbed a lot of what I used to have in my FR profile, after considering it is best to often just stay quiet, even if things have been de-classified.
