If that’s the case, than why is it that according to the map, more conservative, rural counties are suffering this problem more than liberal leaning urban/suburban ones? If the study the chart was based on was garbage, well, that’s one thing, and certainly a possibility, but to accept it and and use it to back your case on women in society, when the details undercut your argument, doesn’t make any sense.
I'm sure there are lots of local stories in play, but very broadly, the problem counties consist heavily of Appalachia, the Mississippi Delta, and Indian country. This will not surprise anyone who has paid attention to rural development issues.
