“The brain is a powerful thing.
Unless it’s encased in the skull of a liberal.”
LOL! No truer words were ever spoken.
The mechanism described is going to divert glucose into the urine. That is going to make a fine substrate for urinary tract infections. How long can this medication be taken before it permanently shuts down the enzyme designed to conserve blood glucose? Does that set you up for an uncontrolled drain of blood glucose into the bladder whether that is a desirable activity or not?
Actually, that's all pretty recent stuff ~ they've been using this drug for several decades and only recently noticed the nerve tissue trick.
Another drug with a similar effect is called glipizide ~ however it stimulates your remaining beta cells to produce more insulin.
These turn out to be extraordinarily powerful drugs ~ now something that blocks enzymes rather than just rewiring your DNA? Sure ~ gonna' jump on that in a sec ~oh, yes!!!!
Departing from sarcasm just a moment many people ~ about 20% ~ have an enzyme production problem. There are these other folks who have a Grape-Fruit problem on top of that.
Folks with exceedingly low cholesterol, or intramuscular pain in their arms and legs, can tell you all about that one. So, here's a drug that is going to interfere with at least one major enzyme ~ which presumes you have that enzyme anyway. Does that mean we can all start eating our grapefruit again? And, BTW, what other enzymes are going to be jerked around ~ think I'd like to know that first.
It’s my understanding that there are at least 20 types of diabetes. I’d get further and more specific testing of your true type.
Your doctor must ask you about this now by law, via DemocratCare. It’s invasive and it’s all held by a central government authority. What could go wrong?
There is a cure. It hurts a lot, but there is a cure.
This years class is one of my motivated and best behaved classes I taught.
When I went in for my 6 month check up the doctor looked at my test numbers and was amazed at the changes.
My BP numbers were down 20 points, my sugar numbers were close to normal, my bad cholesterol was down, and my good cholesterol was up.
Yup stress can wreak havoc on the body.
Unfortunately my last class of students, coming up next year are almost as bad as last years group.
We now belong to the state. Scary times.
The two things that made a difference when I was stressed were making sure I took vitamin C (1000mg a day or more) and getting enough sleep. If I got less than 7.5hrs sleep a night my sugars told me about it. Especially if it was more than 2 nights in a row.
YMMV.
