Obama: ‘I Am Constrained By A System That Our Founders Put In Place’

DENVER (CBSDC/AP) — Ratcheting up pressure for Congress to limit access to guns, President Barack Obama said Wednesday that recent steps by Colorado to tighten its gun laws show “there doesn’t have to be a conflict” between keeping citizens safe and protecting Second Amendment rights to gun ownership.
“I believe there doesn’t have to be a conflict in reconciling these realities,” Obama said in Denver, where he stepped up his call for background checks for all gun purchases and renewed his demand that Congress at least vote on banning assault weapons and limiting access to large-capacity ammunition magazines.
“There doesn’t have to be a conflict between protecting our citizens and protecting our Second Amendment rights,” he said.
Obama noted that more than 100 days have passed since the shooting rampage that killed 20 first-graders and six adults at an elementary school in Newtown, Conn., and reignited the national debate over access to guns.
“Every day that we wait to do something about it even more of our fellow citizens are stolen from our lives by a bullet from a gun. Now the good news is Colorado has already chosen to do something about it,” he said.
Obama also spoke about the people who say the government is coming after their guns.
“You hear some of these quotes: ‘I need a gun to protect myself from the government.’ ‘We can’t do background checks because the government is going to come take my guns away,’ Obama said. “Well, the government is us. These officials are elected by you. They are elected by you. I am elected by you. I am constrained, as they are constrained, by a system that our Founders put in place.

Clips are those thin metal things that organize loose rounds so that they can easily loaded into magazines. Revolvers can be loaded using half-moon clips or “speed loaders.” a type of clip.......
Damn right he’s ‘constrained’- and he’s working like mad to destroy those contraints. That pesky thing called The Constitution. That is all that stands between him and dictatorship. Oh-that and the US military-and they are being prepped to turn against the people.
By the Founders' formula, "the People's" written Constitution was the anchor of our liberties, binding government to the "People's" limitations on its power.Today's so-called "progressive" philosophy, in effect, undoes all the monumental work accomplished by the Founders on behalf of liberty and leaves the law afloat and without anchor, relying, as of old, on mere men and women who wish to operate outside the "constraints" of the document they are sworn to honor and uphold.
From Page xv of "Our Ageless Constitution," allow me to include here excerpted words from President Andrew Jackson's Proclamation of December 10, 1832:
"We have received it [the Constitution] as the work of the assembled wisdom of the nation. And, it was Thomas Jefferson who used another metaphor with reference to the Constitution when he indicated that "the People" must "bind them (government) by the chains of the Constitution." In another instance, he declared: "It was intended to lace them up straitly within the enumerated powers. . . ."
Thomas Jefferson did not confuse his identity as citizen, when not in public office, with his role as President when being a servant of "the People." The Preamble's phrase, "We, the People," applies to what Justice Story, in his "Commentaries on the Constitution . . . ." called "the only keepers of the Constitution." Further, Justice Story warned us of our duties and responsibilities in that "keeper" role in his final paragraphs of that volume:
". . . Let the history of the Grecian and Italian republics warn us of our dangers. The national constitution is our last, and our only security. United we stand; divided we fall."If these Commentaries shall but inspire in the rising generation a more ardent love of their country, an unquenchable thirst for liberty, and a profound reverence for the constitution and the Union, then they will have accomplished all, that their author ought to desire. Let the American youth never forget, that they possess a noble inheritance, bought by the toils, and sufferings, and blood of their ancestors; and capable, if wisely improved, and faithfully guarded, of transmitting to their latest posterity all the substantial blessings of fife, the peaceful enjoyment of liberty, property, religion, and independence. He has a pattern of stating the opposite of truth. Our government is no longer us. Elections have been actively corrupted. We didn't elect his Czars, EPA regulators...

Actually, he’s not as constrained as he should be.
We have broken the Government that the Founders created. The Senate is now a hysterical version of the House, which is often seen chasing the Executive around on knee-pads.
Several Amendments need to be repealed, or not included in the Founding Documents of the Government which will follow this one’s inevitable demise.
Now you know that leftists NEVER resign.... no matter what. And they never quit/stop implementing their leftist agenda. The only thing that stops them is death. And even after that, for some leftists....their legacy lives on and is glorified by and implemented by others in their name (See: Ted Kennedy and Che Guevara).

I would like to comment on this:

You notice Obama is going directly at the Constitution as if he is stabbing to see where he can purposely deflate it. By creating the atmosphere by which the Constitution is readied to be picked to death by the progressives.
All of the amendments were specifically written to protect the basic fundamental freedoms we were given by God - Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness (which is actually our freedom to live a virtuous life). So, we have these basic God-given freedoms that no man can neither give to us nor take away. And all of the original amendments to the Constitution are posted after that declaration in the Preamble and were placed as such in order to safeguard our God-given freedoms.
Obama is chipping away at all of the amendments in order to make our basic God-given freedoms of Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness essentially bare naked and primed for abolishing.
Obamacare is specifically designed to smash every last vestige or flicker of freedom we yet hold. It is cornerstone of his Marxist agenda. It works to place our Life into his very own hands to where he will decides who gets care and who lives and who dies. By its economic aspects Obamacare places our Liberty in serious jeopardy. And, our ability to exercise our religion puts our Pursuit of Happiness is in complete peril.
Which is why he needs to remove our guns.

Just by this statement alone, it shows that he is not “one of us”. He is not an American. No true American would ever make that statement. Then again, IF we adhered to the Constitution, that sack of used, left-over, Kenyan goat crap would never be qualified to run for POTUS to start with. Remember, it was the communist Rat party the foisted him upon the republic with a traitorous media abetting it.
