Last I heard, we here in SoCal will have enough power this summer only if the summer is not comparatively warm. And the NIMBY’s and enviros still fight every power plant proposal that doesn’t involves slicing eagles into raptor burger or paving over the Mojave with mirrors. Even some of those are now being opposed. Insanity.
One hot summer day, people are going to throw their switches and all the circuts are going to exploded.
Hopefully, other parts of America are learning from this.
