Good to hear. I escaped almost 20 years ago.

As long as you are far away from L.A., the newspapers get better by the distance.

I don't know. I live with all the bitter racist clingers here in Phoenix, so you'd think there'd be a decent paper, but I wouldn't piss on the "Republic" building if it were on fire.

Thirty years ago Phoenix was quite conservative - but, then began a stream of Californians fleeing the bloody socialist state - that their votes created! They moved to Phoenix, and continued to vote for socialist candidates.

Now sales taxes are higher in Arizona than they are in CA! State government has turned left, hard.

Worse, I bought a house in Prescott Valley, thinking I would escape from high taxes - now I find this was a huge mistake.

I'm facing retirement, and the future in AZ looks little better than here in CA (Commie-Abyss.)
