Years ago, I would occasionally ponder what I would do if confronted with the situation in which I had to choose whether or not to vote for a candidate who ostensibly has a decent, conservative voting record, but also proved to be a degenerate scuzzball in his personal life.

I don’t really wonder about this anymore. With the country in rapid cultural and moral decay, and continuing its swirl down the toilet, the importance of “character” is something I actually find myself valuing more and more. I would NEVER give my vote to such a lowlife like Sanford. No matter how vile the opposing candidate. I’d just sit out the election.

Agreed. We’ve all been voting for the lesser of two evils and it’s not working. Abandoning our principles isn’t a winner.

I agree with you. The moral and cultural decay in our society is our primary problem..Nothing will get better until and unless people begin to value character and integrity. That begins in the home and is backed up by the school in good societies. Right now, the liar, the cheater, the class warfare advocate, the Godless, the infidel, the abortionist and other haters of children, the lovers of themselves (narcissists), drug use we cannot even comprehend, greed, envy, etc., etc., and communist infiltration of our society and their representatives in our government and media are taking us down. If morality could be miraculously restored our problems would begin to melt away very quickly.

I hope this thinking prevails. I am dismayed that the people of what purports to be a conservative state are even thinking of returning this dissolute individual to public life.

I voted for Bostic in this election. Sanfords infidelity doesn’t bother me nearly as muich as the coverup and barrage of lies he and his people were spewing when caught. We will be sending one more liar to congress no matter who wins this election.
