Here is another little known statistic, taken from Chicago in 2011: 70% of the VICTIMS had a previous criminal record...
from what I’ve seen, criminals usually have to commit a lot of crimes until they actually have a criminal record to show for it.
The actual number of dangerous thug “victims” is probably actually a bit higher than 70%
An important point for sure. The crime rate in the US was brought down over the last 20 - 25 years do to a change in approach to crime. Instead of crime being the inevitable result of socioeconomic issues (thus nothing the police could fix, but massive government wealth transfer), crime was prevented by getting criminals off the street.
So when gun control advocates try to create law that will overnight make millions of Americans criminals, law enforcement resources will have to be pulled from real crime fighting to police counting bullets in a law abiding citizen's magazine!
But the reality is that if magazines are restricted, the law will not be enforced because in the back rooms of police station and prosecutor offices were the the real work is done on crime, they know to keep resources focused on putting bad guys in jail and not bothering with a magazine that hold 9 bullets instead of eight. Don't believe me, how many people are prosecuted for back ground checks???
