I’m not paranoid, I’m not a conspiracy nut black helicopter Alex Jones type, and I’m not generally given to pessimistic Civil War II-type thinking. But I swear, I honestly wonder if there’s going to have to be a straight-up armed rebellion and a lot of bodies swinging from lampposts Mussolini-style before these morons in DC finally get it.
I don’t want that to happen because I don’t want my daughter growing up in that kind of world. I want her growing up in a world like I did (I’m 46), a world of small-town Virginia decency and limitless opportunity for those with the drive to reach out and grab it, a world blessed by its Creator with certain inalienable rights that are respected and cherished.
But with most of our elected representatives acting like kings instead of servants, and apparently being too stupid to parse stuff like “preserve, protect, and defend” and “Congress shall make no law” and “shall not be infringed” and “reserved to the States respectively, or to the people”...is fighting really worse than the alternatives?
