Please remember that a lot of these homes (Ocean City, especially) are really bungalows that have been handed down for several generations of family. The houses are often one on top of each other with sandy yards and usually a few blocks away from the ocean.
I’m up at the northern Jersey shore where the rich have second homes. It now looks like Syria on a bad day.
Those of us on the Gulf coast have a real good idea what NJ looks like. We have seen it many times before.
