Each day I feel the tension growing. Each day brings new assaults on our freedoms, liberties and rights. Each day Americans become less American.
This gives “wilding” a whole new dimension. If they use the internet to organize a “flash mob”, would it help to have a law making it a crime to organize criminally oriented flash mob events. Criminal conspiracy or something like that??
“Each day brings new assaults on our freedoms, liberties and rights. Each day Americans become less American.”
Well...Liberals become less American.
20-25 years ago, I lived in my own little world and never really felt encroached on. Thing’s I’d learned in school about the attitudes of our founders and the reasons they did certain things had no applicable meaning in my life.
But once in a while, my attention would be diverted to something a city, state or the federal government was doing. And it was annoying to have my attention grabbed that way. Like standing in line, minding my own business and having the person behind bump into me.
The first few times, it was alright but, it didn’t stop. It started happening more. And each time I turned around, my expression was a little less tolerant. I went from a polite “That’s OK” smile to a blank look. Then skeptical confusion moving to mind irritation. I went through disbelief and the disdain.
And each step started making me wonder about our founders. Had they gone through these steps? What was it that finally brought a voice of clarity deep inside to their minds and said, “You are too angry to be mad. The time now, is for Action.”
At some point I stopped turning back to the front of the line. I just stared.
That’s what Americans do. And nobody wants the next steps..
