And what is it that the Commish think these firearms came from "the street"? And what the hell does that mean?

Perhaps they came from good homes. Perhaps they were no longer perceived as needed by their owners.

If these types of programs actually got criminals to turn in firearms then they might be of some use. As it is....well, you all know.
