Here is one example. Google searching the connection for Ishtar = Easter will get crackpot theories linking the specific celebration which Catholics celebrate and a pagan festival are specious.
Specifically, because the name Easter is a much later label adapted to refer to commemorative date which started very early in Christianity.
The celebration itself is an important spiritual practice to set aside specific days to remember annually. There is nothing wrong in this practice. Think of marriage anniversaries, no where is it implied that a couple is not married on every other day of the year. In a tangible way having a yearly reminder helps us to remember the fact of the resurrection every day of the year.
I strongly suggest you understand what you are objecting to before you raise erroneous objections. You were wrong in your accusations.
