My favorite! There is so much more to Handel’s Messiah than just the Hallelujah Chorus.

And even if there weren’t, it would be a Masterpiece for that one Song alone!

It is my favorite as well. It bothers me that at my church we have sung the Hallelujah Chorus, which is in the Christmas portion of the Messiah, rather than Worthy. The reason given was that our sops couldn't hit the high "A's" - absolute nonsense IMHO.

Some 20 years ago we (Oratorio Society of Washington) performed Messiah at The Kennedy Center with the National Symphony. After closing with Worthy/Amen, I was so high I didn't come down for several hours. Got home at about midnight and could not get to sleep until about 4:00 a.m.



Where are the survivors of the massacre at Benghazi? The silence of the Obama Regime on this question is deafening!
