My response was directed towards the ridiculous proposition that "children" have some sort of political insight that one loses as one grows older.
The rest of your post Im in agreement. Demographics is destiny. Hopefully Hispanics and Asians wake up. If not, we are in serious trouble.
They are not going to wake up. Hispanics are natural Dem constituents with 50% out of wedlock birthrates and the highest school drop out rates of any group. Asians are a puzzle in terms of why they vote Dem until you look at the tribal nature of Dem identity politics. The Dems have been successful in painting the GOP as the "white man's party." And programs like affirmative action and minority business set asides reinforce racial and gender identification. There are real benefits associated with being a minority.
off topic) Are you a Marine?
No, but I did spend 8 years as a naval officer and served with Marines in Vietnam.
“Ive noticed children are very perceptive and can lose that as adults.”
This was the original post. It wasn’t related to politics, but in general application.
To the second point, that’s why I wrote hopefully. I’m not very upbeat about the prospects of future voting trends.
I wondered about USMC because of your FR name. Thanks for your service.
