BOR, like most Western Christians, is blindly ignorant of the amount of Pagan corruption in that which is held Holy.
There is no spring in that Bunny. They want the Spring Surprise.
Seems to me that the “Easter” bunny trivializes the most important event in the history of mankind.
I have no objection to hunting pretty candy eggs, and I don’t care what they call the rabbit, but I wish we paid more attention to how the Son of God inserted himself in place of the Passover Lamb that distant spring.
In doing so, he once and for all gave those who so choose the shelter of his sacrifice, where we can stand blameless before God.

I think turnabout is fair play. Christians should start referring to Islamic holidays, for example calling Eid the “Harvest Festival”.
Ramadan is a little harder, but being mostly in July this year, it overlaps with July being “Hot Dog Month”, likewise, “Ice Cream Month”.
Why not call it a spring bunny? It has absolutely nothing to do with Jesus Christ. It’s a borrowed tradition from pagan beliefs and it’s returning to that.
The latter is not so bad (close but no cigar) but the former is abominable. I suspect the plan is to change the meaning of Easter in the minds of the unchurched.
