Ditto.
Someone suggested putting Mitt Romney in charge of Detroit. Funny at first but it would probably work.

I think Rick Snyder has some good people and good business outreach people on the job. I’m more concerned about returning true conservatism and hope to the streets.

Last summer (The Detroit Malik Shabazz) threatened to burn the city to the ground if the city imposed an emergency manager. The city did and Shabazz responded by doing the right thing. He gathered up volunteers to board up homes, cut grass on those lots and clean up trash. They bagged the trash for the city to pick up and the city just left it sitting there.

I don’t love Shabazz and what he stands for but he did something good and I think it would have been great if some conservatives had gotten together to rent some trucks to haul away the trash that the city just left to rot.

BTW the emergency manager law took effect at 12:00 AM Thursday morning and the interim superintendent of Detroit public schools got his termination notice at 12:01.

At least 5 more DPS board members were also fired yesterday.
