General Mattis is a national treasure. I wish he would run for president.

I highly recommend Lt. Colonel Bing Wests ''The March Up. With The 1st. Marine Division on The Road To Baghdad'' It's an awesome account of Marines in action and General Mattis statement to his Marines is in it. Puts a lump in your throat when you read it. I also recommend Rich Lowys ''New Dawn. The Fight For Fallujah''. This is THE most incredible, most intense hour by hour, moment to moment account of close quarter combat you'll ever read. Fallujah was called ‘’the meanest town in Iraq’’ and it was the showdown between Al Qeada and the US military and who would prevail in Iraq. Every single branch of the US military was involved in this battle and fought well but ultimately it was The United States Marine Corps and it's ‘’well known reputation for aggressiveness and willigness to close with the enemy'' that broke the back of the Al Qeada insurgency in Iraq.
