You gotta hand it to Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz for always being so optimistic about how the Democratic Party will one day rule the world. Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz tweeted that @BGTX Congrats on #GameOnFortWorth! Only a matter of time and hard work until #TX is #blue! #countdowntoblue #teameffort.

I’ve been using the same cities, but you left out Ft. Worth and Austin - the reason is that repbulicans in the state spend like democrats. Ask if all the money raised in taxes for fish and wild life go to parks or if all the gas tax highway money goes to roads? The state is poorly served by self serving folks in the legislature.
“Half the state of California seems to be moving here...........”
Well, it must be “the half that doesn’t drive,” because the freeways are as crowded as ever. Then again, we have been told here repeatedly by “Conservative Californians” who are moving to Texas that they are leaving the liberals behind.
Assuming Republican congresscritters had districts that voted for Romney and Demon-rats had districts that went for the Assclown, here is how I believe 2012 would have fared in the Wolverine state:
Romney: 9 Electoral votes
Assclown: 7 Electoral votes
As it is, the clown got all 16 votes.
“I am tired of Republicans worrying and moaning about this BS.”
Me too! Washerwoman-Shitz is a JINO. All the rest who were named were “Holder’s People.”
Okay—I’ll try to keep the faith, if you’ll call me “Bubbaette”.
basil is spelled with a small b, like the herb........
I’m of the female persuasion—LOL!
The MI Secretary of state came out in support of the change last week and delegates at the convention voted to support it some 1700 to 300.
California's Results:
Assuming Republican congresscritters had districts that voted for Romney and Demon-rats had districts that went for the Assclown, here is how I believe 2012 would have fared in the Golden state:
Romney: 15 Electoral votes
Assclown: 40 Electoral votes
As it is, the clown got all 55 votes.
Crap hasn’t hit the fan yet... major demographic changes will follow.
TT
I guarantee you they have already have a highly gerrymandered map of Texas in their pockets that would give them control of a majority of districts. They will work over the next 10 years to make it happen by suing in court saying districts are illegal and getting a judge to draw them, or try to trick voters into support an “unbiased” commission to draw them, or they will run moles for office who will try to sneak it through. And if it fails, they will try agin for the next ten years, because once they own California, New York, and Texas, the country is dead.
I am very surprised at the amount of liberals in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
I’d say it’s a good 50/50 split and it’s rather annoying running into 1 of these brainless bastards in half the people I meet.
Furthermore, TX is a destination for conservatives. They ARE leaving states like CA to escape the lunacy of blue states.
Good point, Texas and it’s image and reputation is more likely to filter out a lot of liberals and welfare seeking people.
I witnessed how places like Wisconsin and Minnesota attracted people from around the nation to move there for the welfare, and I also witnessed that around 1970 while hitchhiking to California, when I met 4 healthy black males who were traveling cross country for the better benefits offered by California for welfare.
You don’t understand that California was never conservative, merely moderate republican.
Texas has never been liberal, only conservative, they are and always have been two entirely different states.
Yet California changed from moderately Republican to uber-Liberal with it’s demographic change. That’s essentially the same shift distant-wise on the political spectrum of Texas going from Conservative to moderately Democrat. That will happen as Texas’ white population continues to decline.
Texas has almost double the percentage of blacks, and a 45% white population compared to California's 40%.
What brought down California was the growth in Catholic voters, that could happen to Texas as well.
2004 was a year of pro-life issues being on the ballot in California, but as you can see, it still didn't help.
