WINDHAM, N.H. (CBS) Dodgeball has been bounced in Windham.
The classic gym class game has been a rite of passage for years, but dodgeball may have met its match in the form of the Windham School board, which at a recent meeting voted 4-1 to end dodgeball and other so-called human target activities, games with names like bombardment and slaughter.

“Murderball” and “Smear the Queer” were widely played playground games when I was a kid.
It’s too bad that fat nannies in pant-suits have to ruin everything fun.

The parents who complained remind me of the owner of the Charlston Chiefs in Slapshot and a quote from it. “Jack Robinson!”

How about Kill The Man With The Ball?
Let's just give everyone a trophy to keep their precious self-esteem in tact.

The wussification of America continues. This also coincides with the gay marriage push. Coincidence?

Yeah. It’s fun to play dodgeball with softballs! But it’s best if you wear a helmet.

Hmm, wonder if that ban will apply to the Dept of Ed’s targeting of our children...for indoctrination purposes. Doubtful.

I’d like to see them try to ban Calvinball! One of the key aspects of the game is that the rules change every time. :)

who uses softballs? At school we used the red rubber playground balls. In the neighborhood we used tennis balls or crab apples. The crab apples stung a bit, but we laughed it off and kept playing.
Nerf was a damn stupid invention...kids today are way too soft.
