The best “official recognition” of a marriage is from God and his redeemed, not our utterly corrupt and evil government and morally declining populace. Marriage is a holy and supernatural institutiion that predates the formation of any human government. Homosexuals can never change that. What they seek is to have same sex “marriage” to have the same moral standing as actual marriage. Of course this is impossible in God’s terms. Why even give them anything to attack legally?

That’s a question best put to those who wish to let the government inform the marriage contract instead of the covenant makers informing the government of their marriage.
