If Cruz were to be called by the draft and he wanted to avoid it all he would do is walk across the border and into Kannaduh.

And any American Jew could avoid the draft by hopping on a plane and going to Israel. Dual citizenship is their birthright. You wouldn't automatically make all Jews ineligible for the Presidency, would you?

Any third-generation Irish-American could avoid the draft by making his way to Ireland. Dual citizenship is their birthright as well, but I wouldn't automatically exclude all Americans who had an Irish grandparent either.

I don't think the potential for dual citizenship has any bearing on NBC status. The Constitution certainly doesn't say so, and I tend to place a lot of value on what it does and does not say.
