The USSC has no problem fudging words.

Appeals to original intent concerning NBC will be as successful as appeals to original intent concerning the general welfare clause or the interstate commerce clause.

And this has been demonstrated as true countless times. We are living in a Republic which is transitioning back to a monarchy.

Pretty much, though I think ‘formal oligarchy’ is a more accurate term.

In the legal world, there’s really no dissent. The Constitution does not mean what it says except in regard to numbers; two senators from each state, etc. All other meanings are at the whim of courts.
