If that had been one of us, we would be paying a mighty hefty fine by the time it was over and charged. The media may focus on the trauma for the daughter and her friends. Not how careless he and his daughter were for not controlling the dog.

It wasn’t “A” dog, it was HIS dog.
He lost control of it and the seal was dead before he decided to pull the beast off the baby seal.
The headline makes it look like he’s a hero. He is responsible for the baby seal dying. He didn’t pull HIS dog off until the seal was dead. He didn’t even stick around to see if the seal had survived the attack. He just walked away from the scene.

That's right. At first glance, it comes across as if he's a hero for trying to save a baby seal.

I think you were thinking of the word "hypocrite." The dog belonged to and was being walked by Kelly's stepdaughter. Should he chain up his stepdaughter to keep her and the dog off of the beach?
I must say that anyone that wants a Pit Bull has an innate personality flaw. That breed cannot be controlled.

I wouldn’t let this run through your mind too much. That’s exactly what this goofball wants. He’s an idiot, looking to get on T.V. and in the papers as much as possible. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was all staged so the world could revolve around him for another fifteen minutes.
In my opinion, the dog should be walking Mark Kelly on a leash.

He didn’t try to save the baby seal.
He was only there to save his dog. The onlookers were telling everyone to “KILL THE DOG”. Then someone said the Seal was already dead. Then Kelly showed up and pulled his dog away before someone beat it to death.
Kelly didn’t give a damn about the seal. His only concern was to get his precious dog away from the angry mob.

It's not. My hubby recently was attacked by a pit bull while at the grocery store. No warning. Boom. Just know these dogs are unpredictable and it's odd to see a young girl having this kind of dog that she cannot control nor her father. Now, dead seal.
To: Christie at the beach
Pit Bulls are more dangerous than guns because they cannot be controlled once they decide to attack. What a hypocrite!

I HATE that scumbag. No wonder why he was appointed Shuttle commander: NASA had ALREADY been infiltrated by leftist scum. If he were the husband of a Republican Congresswoman, all hell’d be breaking loose on this story.

Too bad somebody didn’t have a Glock in a beach bag. That menace dog should have had his lamp blowed out. A Glock in the hands of a non-liberal like Loughner can sometimes be just what decent people need.

"Today a seal. Tomorrow a baby."
Exactly! Liberals who own Pit Bulls are psychos with weapons OFF THE CHAIN! Shame on these hypocrites!
Excerpt: 'In the 8-year period from 2005 to 2012, pit bulls killed 151 Americans and accounted for 60% of the total recorded deaths (251). Combined, pit bulls and rottweilers accounted for 73% of these deaths.' Learn more at:

Leave it to a Liberal Gun Control FANATIC to own an off the chain WEAPON, while blaming guns for violence. How many children, elderly, and postal workers must be hurt, disfigured and suffer violent deaths because liberal Pit Bull fanatics own psycho dangerous breeds off the leash, frothing at the mouth to attack, severely injure and kill at a higher rate than any other breed? Does it make these liberals feel important to own demons from hell that kill at random and have jaws that lock and won't let go?
