Everyone that I know, who was stationed there enjoyed it.
They used to tell us that being stationed at Keflavik or maybe Adak (or both) that women were plentiful.
Usually a couple behind EVERY palm tree....
Iceland is one of the places you either love it or hate it. Not much middle ground. I love it there. But then I don’t like New York type city hubbub so if that is your cup of tea you might be disappointed. If you like fishing, horse back riding, hiking etc you will enjoy it.
