Now, if only the GOP had a senator or even a candidate that knew something about banking. They don’t.
In fact, I could say that the GOP has the most clueless bunch of neophytes and idiots on the subject of banking and finance I’ve ever seen.
North Dakota's Republican Senator John Hoeven was a banker for many years before his election as governor of North Dakota, and subsequently to the U.S. Senate.
Like his father he worked in a bank in Minot and later was president and CEO of the $6 billion Bank of North Dakota, which he ran shrewdly, conservatively and very profitably.
His family was always Democrat (as was he early on) and he is still is squishy and tentative on the tough issues, pretty much a Rino...
I'd have to say he was a much better banker than he is a Senator lol!
