Doctor Raoul died Saturday of a rare form of cancer. He was 58.
Raoul's family contacted us this morning to see if they could find out more about his activities as an activist.
This is such a shock. His family is looking for photos and stories about him.
He is and always will be a Free Republic icon.
He kind of fell off the face of the earth about 2 or 3 years ago now. All attempts we made to reach him failed.
If you have photos please contact me. Please feel free to post stories and I will make sure the family sees this thread.
So sad to hear of the good Doctor’s passing. His posts and activism were a part of what originally attracted me to this forum. RIP Doc!
Thanks for the link at 185. Thanks Doc.
love
I am so sorry to hear about Dr. Raoul. May perpetual light shine upon him and may his soul rest in peace.
As one of the class of ‘98, I regret losing touch with so many here due to the acrimony and division that have somehow arisen.
I can always be found on Twitter @MissMarple2

Thanks for posting. Raoul will be deeply missed.

I don’t see where he is on the memorial wall yet.

If you are able, it would be good to get him on there.

I found a few good shots of some cute girl from Jersey, too :)
Tolerance Sucks Rocks is in that photo too. 13 years ago!
Logan’s Prayer Warriors...a sad ping.
it was both of us, and a few others but mostly Doctor, he led it, started it, and is immortal for it ;)
The good Dr R. was too “in your face” active to die. So, he drops off the face of earth and all his contacts can’t reach him? I don’t buy it. I want to hear from his family that they actually saw his body. Sorry, I’ve gone so paranoid I believe they really are out to get us. Dr. R can’t be gone, he just can’t.
Agreed! Our prayers for his soul.
“...a Free Republic icon”
Indeed. And so young, may God comfort his friends and family.
so sorry to hear he is gone. Life is short. This is like a virtual wake.
No one could say that this man did not do his part. So much so that I hope they checked him for polonium.
Rest in peace, to a great FReeper. I offer my sympathy and prayers of comfort to his family and friends. I hope they will find the photos, anecdotes and ephemera they are searching for. May God bless.

Thanks abner.
Damn' straight. An FR Original and a legend on this forum.
God bless and keep his soul.
See? I told you all, he's not dead. If so, then the "powers that be" got to him. My heart is broken. He is in my "class of 98". I've known him forever. Prayers for all.
