Doctor Raoul died Saturday of a rare form of cancer. He was 58.
Raoul's family contacted us this morning to see if they could find out more about his activities as an activist.
This is such a shock. His family is looking for photos and stories about him.
He is and always will be a Free Republic icon.
He kind of fell off the face of the earth about 2 or 3 years ago now. All attempts we made to reach him failed.
If you have photos please contact me. Please feel free to post stories and I will make sure the family sees this thread.
The spirit of Dr. Raoul 3/16/12
He said he was laying low..didn’t mention his health, just that he could be better.
“Funny you mention Breitbart. I picked his tux up for him a few years back. He was going to Correspondents dinner in DC and would not arrive in time to pick it up from the rental place. Dr.
Had invited him to lunch with DC freeepers. He couldnt make it, mentioned his tight schedule and then found out rental place was across from our lunch place.
Picked it up, delivered to front desk of hotel prior to his arrival. Funny how he thanked me so much for a small favor”. Dr. Raoul
May you rest in peace, wonderful Freeper...
You didn’t ping me on this???
Sorry....
Sorry I yelled at you :(
Anyways, as I remember it, Leno asked Hillary what his sign said, and she said she never read it and didn’t know
His sign read several things:
BILL CLINTON MARRIED MY SISTER
I sold my soul to Bill CLinton
A great loss. RIP
He wore a lot of costumes out side the WH. IIRC Sen Bob Kerrey had some choice words for the good Dr. Roaul at one time.
I do believe it was Dr. Raoul that use to dress up as Nurse Rachett...those were the best!

The Doctor was always entertaining, and given the way leftwingtards react, probably in grave danger on those forays into the very nest of the vipers seeking to destroy America.
He was missed for a long time, and currently, and in the future. They don't make 'em like that anymore.
He died too young ~ but we will save the Republic with his name on our lips.
College kids chanting at us outside the White House visitors exit were really surprised when we chanted at them. Dr. Raoul was so creative and so giving of his time.
Rest in Peace Dr. Raoul.
Wow. So sad today. We have lost a Freep legend. I remember always enjoying his DC chapter action reports. Always out there giving the libs a hard time with the lively reports and trying to educate those who showed any sign of an open mind.
I know we lost Congressman Billybob (John Armor) a year or so ago, but yes, too often people can just vanish from the FR scene and many we likely never hear what may have happened.
Prayers and blessings go out to his family in their time of loss.
It’s okay. I’m still shocked. I haven’t pinged many. It is always harder to remember Freeper names when you have to write them out.
“The full request: “Bill Clinton, put down the cigar, step away from the intern and come out with your pants up!”
I used to read Doctor Raoul’s FReep reports and laugh hysterically at his stuff. This funny chanting the DC chapter used to do every weekend, and didn’t he wear a devil suit or a jail suit? (I haven’t read the thread yet.)
To Doctor Raoul’s family: I just want you to know that your loved one is, and always WILL be, one of the most respected people on this board. He was funny, considerate of others on here, and very passionate about defending our Republic, back during a time when most FReepers were totally distraught about what the clinton’s and their Dixie mafia were doing to our country. I used to get so frustrated that i couldn’t travel to DC to help him and the others protest. The next best thing was reading and savoring every word of his after-action reports, which were always so thorough. It was if he understood how important those reports were to our sanity, as if he knew his words let us experience it vicariously through him!
This Texas FReeper has tears in her eyes, and i guarantee you I’m not the only one, although some of his fellow oldtimers might not admit it.
Save a seat for us, Doc. RIP.
It’s changed. :( This used to be my “first stop” in the Internet. Now, the scope of the shared articles has narrowed to those in which I more rarely have an interest.
That being said, to an even greater extent, I dearly miss the likes of Freeper Dr. Raul. God bless him.
Arguably the greatest all time FReeper has passed away.
RIP, Raoul.
And here's one I snapped of him as Saddam, with Kristinn outside of the Gridiron Dinner in March of 2004:
And one from a Bill Clinton book tour FReep we did, on July 5, 2004, in Philadelphia:
Doctor Raoul would go almost anywhere, on a moment's notice; and he would do anything for a friend. I knew he was sick, and I kept him in my prayers, hoping he would beat his biggest foe. I am heartbroken. I know God has a special place prepared for the biggest Patriot I have ever known. Rest in Peace, Raoul; you have earned it.
