without strong opposition from the Republicans the RATS will succeed....nuff said.

Can the GOPe steal defeat from the jaws of victory? Yes, it is possible.

The Democrats may be badly misguided and ill-intentioned, but they are not stupid. They know all about what is going to happen in 2014 and planned it that way.

They also planned for their response. They won't blame the Republicans directly, at first. They will blame the health care industry and corporations first and then link them to the GOP through their political donations, with the message: "They're trying to take away your health care - stop them!" And the news media will do what they do best: echo the Democrat message endlessly while denying and suppressing the Republican response.

There will be great turmoil economically and socially next year - just as planned. Cloward and Piven wrote the script, folks, so you ought to know where this is going: an orchestrated "public outcry" for the government to "do something" - namely, to take over the entire health care industry.

And that's when the pot comes to a full boil.

What’s necessary is a general public awareness of the issues, what their root causes are and what’s to blame.

I don’t think that’s going to be possible given the current fractured nature of public dissemination channels. News of the bad effects of Obamacare will be suppressed, and without a strong GOP capable of bypassing the media and being able to effectively make arguments to the general public, there’s not much of a chance of it having an impact. The message has to get out. But it won’t.

Example ... I’m on a once a day prescription medication. I refill every three months. In December a 90-day supply of pills ran me less than a dollar. A couple weeks ago my refill set me back $12.

That’s MASSIVE jump, as a %, in my out of pocket costs. When I asked about it the pharmacist couldn’t provide a good answer. I’ve talked to other people who are on the same meds as me, and different ones as well (and with different insurance providers) and we’re all seeing the same thing.

But in terms of general public awareness (of the issue itself, let alone any sort of causal analysis) there’s nothing out there. Nothing out there means no outrage and no outrage means no issue that can be translated into electoral action.

‘Idiocracy’ seems less fictional by the day.

Other chaos will abound. Consumers trying to get their insurance from a state exchange will have to hand their Social Security Number and 15 pages of financial and family information to exchange “assisters” — temps often hired from community groups. In California, civil-rights activists are fighting to prevent background checks for would-be “assisters” because it would disqualify too many minority men with prior convictions.

How lovely. The very same people who sought US Census jobs are going to be the new government snitches.

Most likely, there won’t be a coherent Republican response. Thet would be too much like being critical of their nice guy Obama.

Like Lincoln, I’m still looking for a General that will kick some ASS.

....and where did I propose to give up? I'm hedging on Texas secession when it really gets bad. You can keep Stinkinois and all the rest of your left wing buddies all I care.

Someone who has been here 5 years less than me has gall calling me a troll.
