I’ve been seriously thinking of moving to panama.

However, in previous centuries people survived the cold. Even much of England didn’t have central heating until the last 50 years or so. You can survive if you know how.

This new cold part of the Ice Age, could be something very different. For one, we are long overdo to reenter the real cold phase of the current Ice Age and modern civilization has never had to deal with that. Last time was just over 10,000 years ago. There is no way this current population level can be maintained, unless we unshackle energy development.

Additionally, US and European governments have been actively trying to cool the planet. We need to know every single one of the projects they have undertaken to cool the planet. My guess is that some of these could have had an influence. Much easier ways to modify temps without using CO2. And if they did manage to increase cooling, we could enter this next cold Ice Age period very quickly.

Basically the perfect storm. We actively attempted to cool the planet just before it was headed back into the cold Ice Age period. Probably one of the dumbest moves ever in the entire Universe.
