Shooter was an Iranian named Mehdi Jakoby — one of Assad’s bodyguards who actually works for Assad’s “allies” in Syria; this may indicate that Assad was about to succumb to a deal to make a treaty with Israel (remember Kissinger’s dictum, “no war without Egypt, no peace without Syria”) under the watchful eye of the Kenyan and Lurch/Pruneface, a sort of “Sadat Job” on the Russians.
