The rules in Texas change after sundown. It's special that way.

What would be a misdemeanor during daylight hours becomes cause to use deadly force after dark.

I don't know of any other state that does that.

Its True...in fact our State Constitution always contained this language. The Castle Laws and stand your ground were added because liberal jackasses need help reading long documents.
