Not trying to be trite but its a serious question. A good supply of ammo for hunting is certainly a good idea in my book.
I’d love to have 15k rounds of 5.56 on hand but seriously is that amount more important then other items? Chances are you won’t live to use it if the shootings that intense.

Well, I was fortunate to stock up on ammo prior to the major runup in prices, so I am lucky enough to be able to allocate funds for other items as well.
Chances are, I won't survive the first wave, but if I do, I'm in good shape as far as provisions go.
