Continuing progress toward ‘a new day in our relationship’
While he and President Obama were expressing solidarity with Israeli’s firm stance on Iran’s nuclear program this week, Secretary of State John F. Kerry quietly issued a statement saying the U.S. is “strongly committed to resolving” its differences with the Islamic Republic.
“Despite the difficult history of the last decades between the United States and Iran, there is an opportunity to work diplomatically to reduce tensions and address the mistrust between our two countries, to the mutual benefit of both of our people,” Mr. Kerry said.
The remarks came in a statement released Wednesday evening wishing “health and prosperity to the people of Iran” as they celebrate Nowruz, the Iranian-Persian new year...

Kerry is not out of touch with reality. He has never been in the “real world” except for a few months of combat in Vietnam, where he began his self-promoting career over the bodies of his fellow Swiftboat sailors.
Everything he has done since 1969 has been to promote John Kerry. He was given a great boost by Sen. William Fulbright (D-Ark), an arch-segregationist, isolationist, and betraying of Indochina. From then on, he was the media darling of the anti-Vietnam Left (except for Jane Fonda and Tom Hayden).
Kerry has never been one to miss an opportunity to betray his country and those fighting for freedom in theirs, including in Nicaragua, El Salvador, Cuba, and eventually Venezuela, not to mention Iran, Lebanon, and even Israel.
He also betrayed known American POWS held by Hanoi without an accounting.
His desire to “reconcile” with a psychopathic, religious fanatic state of Iran is not out of character for Kerry. In fact, it is “in keeping with character.”
When you look up the word “betrayal” in the dictionary, you’ll find a full photo of John Kerry there. Why not? It fits him perfectly.
