Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said if a debt limit increase is matched with federal spending cuts later this year, there will be very little of the public space left.
During a Thursday press conference on Capitol Hill, Pelosi was asked about Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-Ohio) who said any increase in the debt limit when it is met this August should be accompanied with dollar for dollar spending cuts.
Yes, thats what the Speaker says, and that is certainly in keeping with the anti-government ideologues that are in his caucus, Pelosi said. If you keep cutting investments in the future that way in order to do something that should be pro forma here to pass the debt limit, this shouldnt even be this kind of a debate.

So total-government-dependence welfare with no chance of going back to work is an investment? In what, chaos?
The government is not in the business of making investments. The LORD rebuke Pelosi for this word-twisting.

Well that just means the federal government is INCABABLE Of running itself.
If they can't function without Trillions of over-spending then they are beyond repair and need to be dismantled and their functions sent back to the States.

How come the only way we can find out what Boehner says is for the Media to go to Nancy Pelosi and ask her about it.
The media ignores Boehner.
The Media is owned and operated by Democrats.

In finance, investment is putting money into something with the expectation of gain.
In government, spending tax money to reward political supporters or family members is graft.

"...if a debt limit increase is matched with federal spending cuts later this year, there will be very little of the public space left..." I don't have a clue what this moron is talking about. That's OK though 'cause she doesn't either.
If she's trying to say what I think she's trying to say, I can't find a downside here.

I WISH a cut in the increase of spending (Washington NEVER “cuts” anything - both parties included) WOULD truly lead to less government.
What a delusional old C (rhymes with runt).

On the other hand, Congess is slowly being forced back into its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited power cage which Pelosi and other lawmakers have sworn to protect and defend.
In fact, military concerns aside, Pelosi’s primary Section 8 duty is to help keep the mail moving in compliance with Clause 7 of Section 8.

If you keep cutting investments in the future that way in order to do something Libtards either don't know the difference between a true investment by businessmen and capitalists and consumption expenditure by the government, or they are manipulating the language as a nefarious political ploy to deceive and confuse the public.

Thus says a senile old woman with a bachelors in political science. Only in the Democratic Party and our leftist media would someone as unfit and unqualified as Pelosi be taken seriously.
