Yes, Worcester definitely is. Worcester lost 2nd place for a while but regained it recently.
I grew up in Springfield and at the time, we would battle back and forth with Worcester. But that was many years ago. Springfield is a dirty shell of its old self. I just shake my head when I drive through my old haunts.
