Police are going door-to-door in a coastal Georgia town in a frantic search for two young suspects after a gunman shot an infant dead in the stroller his mother was pushing.
Officer Todd Rhodes of the Brunswick Police Department told FoxNews.com that numerous tips had been received in connection to the Thursday morning shooting, but no suspect or weapon had yet been located, police said Friday. Investigators were also checking school attendance records for leads.
Several nearby residents called 911 after hearing gunshots fired, but Rhodes said investigators believe the mother was the only witness to what happened.
"Understand this: There is no clear motive right now," he said.
The suspects in the killing of the 13-month-old boy and wounding of his mother are thought to be as young as 10 years old, Brunswick Police Chief Tobe Green said.

Please don’t Wear Red Tonight. But it’s a crime, yes it is.
The article says she had an 18-year-old son who was killed with his own knife in NJ in 2008 by a 17-year-old in self-defense.
and then shot herself, and then got rid of the gun, and in so doing, left no gunshot residue on her hands..AMAZING !!!!!
if you showed a group of present day high school freshmen, regardless of race, a globe without identifying titles.....1/3 of them would not be able to point out Africa and I believe that most of them could not point out their own country......when I once pointed out the United States to a boy in Juvenile detention....he asked "what's all that stuff above the U.S.".....for all of you uneducated....it is Canada and Alaska.....pathetic!
A pox on the media. I have a whole tackle box full of aspersions to cast.
Check out the Charles Stewart case from Boston, a few years back. The guy shot his wife in the head, he shot himself in the stomach, his brother drove by, collected the gun and the police went on the lookout for a black man.

Just sayin...
Just a helpful tip for some folks on this thread.
That’s the thing — she really wasn’t “shot,” was she.
If she fired a gun, they’ll swab her hands and find residue.
Although she could claim she got the residue from lifting her hands to protect herself.
Her whole story sounds implausible. They talk to her, shoot her baby, then run away leaving her there, after she witnesses them murder a toddler?
Story’s as fishy as it gets.
The weird thing is, my roomate was much younger than I, he was only 20 at that time, yet had the sharpness to see what I wasn’t even looking for. I didn’t suspect Smith at that point, but he apparently had his radar up.
Thanks!
