Yeah, they were one of the most underrated bands of the 1980s in my opinion. Especially ‘Measure For Measure’. That album has served me well on many a long night drive home.
Mike & The Mechanics were classic too. Silent Running, All I Need Is A Miracle. I’ll have to check out Paul’s solo stuff.
Australia was an oasis of talent. Noiseworks, 1927, The Expression. Men At Work and Midnight Oil had their moments as well. Man, what I’d give to have music like that again, but alas, we have entered the age of ‘Bow Down, Bitches’ and washed up inflatable dolls dressing as boy scouts to promote pedophilia. *sigh*
