“once a treaty is ratified by the Senate, it becomes the supreme law of the land.”

Well yes unless its totally unconstitutional. No treaty trumps the Constitution. But we all need to make known to our senators that this is unacceptable and to vote no. Personally I don’t believe this treaty has the 67 votes needed in the Senate and will not have.

Seeing as the Constitution is a ‘living document’ now it can mean anything. I suspect the treaty will cruise on thru. If it doesn’t that ill be better. If it does thats part of what the 2nd is for.

It doesn't need 67 votes to pass. It needs is 2/3 of the Senators present to concur. As a quorum for business only requires 51 Senators, this abomination could be rammed through in a surprise midnight move with as few as 34 votes!

Do you think the anti-2nd Amendment Democrats would be beneath making that sort of sneaky move? Do you think they would care?

Let’s see... we know Lindsey Graham and John McCain are spineless, so that’s two the Democrats can count on to vote in favor of it. So that creates a wider margin in support of it. Then you have to think who they’re going to convince that it’s a good thing. McConnell?

Wrong, wrong, wrong! 34 senators treaty quorum

Not 67...a mere 34!
