The North Korean army on Thursday threatened a possible strike against US military bases in Japan, in response to the use of nuclear-armed US B-52 bombers in joint military drills with South Korea.
The threat came a day after Pyongyang condemned the B-52 flights as an "unpardonable provocation" and threatened military action if they continue.

There is a reason we did everything in our power to pussify Japan after the war. Most Americans look at Japanese culture and see workaholics, giant robot cartoons and insane fashion trends.
I maintain that we did not breed out 1000+ years of Samurai tradition in one or two generations. Do NOT get them angry. They do really bad things when they are angry. It took the world years and nuclear weapons to stop them last time.
And now there are a hell of a lot more of them. than there was in WW2. And I absolutely do not buy all the anti nuke bluster they put out for global consumption. Their technology is WAY beyond ours in many areas now. And I doubt we know the half of it.

What do you expect, when the bulk of our Military is 20,000 miles away tied up in two other wars, and all of our Air Craft Carriers are over in the Gulf.
I know its tame in cmparison to a lot of that crap, ina country where kiddie porn possession is legal but still, I didn’t expect the clip when I saw it.

Sometimes I remember the strangest things. More than fifty years ago there was a Western radio drama, Gunsmoke, starring William Conrad as Matt Dillon and Parley Bear as Chester. In one of the episodes a young would-be gunfighter came to town. He announced that he was going to kill Matt Dillon in a fair fight so as to gain his reputation and make a lot of money hiring out in a range war. Dillon didn’t take him seriously, but the kid kept insisting, and finally as Dillon was coming out of the Longbranch he shouted some threat. There was gunfire. Dillon said “Sorry kid, this time I believed you.”
I think that such a result might come to pass with NK some day as well.
