A U.S. military drone command center is coming to Horsham, Penn., on Oct. 1, according to reports.
The base will conduct missions to fly Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPAs) or drones from thousands of miles away, says Fox Philadelphias report.
According to Phillyburbs.com, The U.S. Air Force selected the Pennsylvania Air National Guards 111th Fighter Wing for the new mission conducted at the Horsham Air Guard base.

Don’t drone me Bro.
Speeding on the Pa turnpike could turn into a deadly experience now....
I thought Tribune7 was doing Pennsylvania, and Kid Shelleen Philadelphia/DelVal. Clarification?
I used to work there.
Out behind it, just east of a rail line that ran north into Ivyland, is (or was) a man-rated centrifuge that was once used for astronaut training. We’re talking Alan Shepard here.

Good...now if they can just target Broad and Market....
Lets see, first build the officers club, then the EM club, run out of money, request more money for an operations center and runways for the aircraft.
All they need is a few high-tech trailers to house the drone control systems.
Hey,what happened to the golf course?
I took over the old ping list. I usually don’t ping for stuff that’s already in the PA sidebar with two exceptions.
1. Someone requests a list ping
2. It’s something I, in my infinitely infinite wisdom, think is exceptional.
Otherwise, it’s usually stuff I stumble across (or, more often, someone pings me to) that is of PA interest and is not already on the sidebar.
It’s thus a relatively low-volume ping list.
If anyone else wants to take this over, please FReepmail me & I’ll be glad to turn over the list.
Thanks! Appreciate knowing...
centrifuge is still there, but what looks like the capsule is sitting junked in a small fenced-in area. We live literally within walking distance, most of the Warminster (Johnsville) station is now a 55+, assisted living community & a park with walking/biking trails
