That is odd. I’d think they’d use the 2 or 3 side-by-side mag grip w/ rubber caps for sand protection. Must be something relatively new; I’ve never seen one before.

Here's another angle. I can't tell if a mag is in the well or empty. It
may be empty and they have a way to attach mag like that sideways.
