A small amount of gasoline in deisel probably isn’t any different than going from No.1 to No.2, but too much gasoline will create havoc in a diesel.

Per putting diesel into gasoline in small quantities, well, the key is “small quantities”. The same applies to motor oil. It will run, more lubication, more smoke, more carbon, but it will run.

I watched my friend’s dad fill a coffee can with kerosene and slowly pour some in his carburetor one time, then after it chugged for a while he dumped the entire can in while the engine was revved, flooding it. He let it soak overnight, changed the oil and then fired it up. Tailpipe looked like an industrial fogger but it cleaned all the carbon and gunky buildup out of it.

Car ran fine after it stopped smoking.
