Matt Ridley, author of The Red Queen, Genome, The Rational Optimist and other books, dropped by Reason's studio in Los Angeles last month to talk about a curious global trend that is just starting to receive attention. Over the past three decades, our planet has gotten greener!
Even stranger, the greening of the planet in recent decades appears to be happening because of, not despite, our reliance on fossil fuels. While environmentalists often talk about how bad stuff like CO2 causes bad things to happen like global warming, it turns out that the plants aren't complaining.
Approximately 19 minutes.
Produced by Paul Feine and Alex Manning.

Almost every time I am directed to a video, I ignore it and move on. That is a method of communication for entertainment. If you want to convey information, it should be in writing.
I appreciate your sentiments; however, I believe this medium was chosen for the kiddee cohort that's been voting for Obama and his rats by 2:1 or more since 2008 at least. They have been indoctrinated with anthropogenic global warming with plenty of audio-visual support.
It also helps those with less than optimum visual acuity. They can listen to the audio monologue.
I can agree with that. I'm not their target audience.
But if they want to send information to someone like me, they need an accessible transcript as well. I don't deny the medium has its uses. But for those that think it will replace written communication, I believe they are wrong.
